Brooklyn's Mountains are a duo (Koen Holtkamp and Brendon Anderegg) that make peaceful electro field recordings. There are subtle bleeps and clicks scattered throughout their work, but mostly a quiet acoustic guitar is the primary instrument for their blissful music manipulations.

Mountains have been compared to Fennesz and Brian Eno, and I hear some of The Album Leaf, albeit a little less straightforward. When not mountaineering, the two guys run Apestaartje, a record label dedicated to "gradual music and active listening." I like that. If you're a patient music listener with an experimental streak, you will enjoy Mountains.
