Slow Mass is a melodic post punk/emo/math/rock band (feel free to tack on more genres to this after you blast them below) from.... you guessed it.... Chicago* and I have some v. important news for you. They're good.

When not sung prettily these songs are shouted just right, allowing you to rock out and still leave feeling really great.

This band reminds me a bit of Small Brown Bike. God, I loved that band. But that's not important right now.

If you like your band comparisons to move up more with modern times, I would like to suggest that Slow Mass tour someday soon with Tiny Moving Parts because I would pay to see that show (but if anyone offered to put me on the list I wouldn't say no, also can I get a +1 no worries either way as I have no friends).

Or, maybe think ______ meets _____ meets _____.

Please love blasting two rock solid jams off Slow Mass's upcoming EP " Treasure Pains" which, if I'm being completely honest with you, is looking like it will rule v. much.

Note: this band features two members of Into It. Over It. (they're good too but that's not important right now) and their names are Josh Sparks and Josh Parks (!) and that's just amazing.

*Go Bulls! Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo should really take us back to the top next June but first we need to find a time machine DM me with any leads please
