Izzy True is a good songwriter from Trumansburg, NY* which, according to Google Maps, is 4 hours and 39 minutes in current traffic from where I write this. She's got a chill folk slacker punk kind of vibe similar to Courtney Barnett maybe and to me it sounds real cool. Thus, this profile you're enjoying while procrastinating from surely more important things.

Previously, Izzy True (aka Isabel Reidy) was the singer/guitarist (aka Dixie Lou) for Ithaca's punk-folk-post-something band, The Realbads. You can check them out too if you want. They broke up, I think. But remember the Golden Rule. It's never too late to get into anybody. And that I don't back down from. Also, did you know that Izzy is also a comic artist? It's totally True.**

Recently signed to Don Giovanni Records (the excellent label straight outta New Jersey that's released stuff for Screaming Females + Mitski + Waxahatchee + Upset + on and on the musical goodness goes), Izzy True will release her debut EP very soon (it was recorded by the guy who's also worked with Frankie Cosmos and Porches and I am not bullshitting you on this).
