Here come the Klaxons. - Oh My Rockness

Band We Like

Here come the Klaxons.

April 4, 2007
The up-and-coming East London trio Klaxons play energetic and sweaty synth rock that bombard your senses with schizophrenic dance beats. The three guys incorporate vocal shrieks, big bass guitar solos and even siren sound effects to entice the listener to move with furious intent.

They remind me of similarly young bouncing bands like Professor Murder, Foreign Islands and Tokyo Police Club, but sung in a British accent of course (the New York Times thinks they sound like Test Icicles).

This will probably be your last chance to see them in such an intimate venue. Next time around, it's Allstate Arena or bust.

Klaxons play Schubas, on Monday, April 16th.
