((The M's)) Band Profile and Upcoming Chicago Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Chicago's The M's play fuzzed out songs that sort of sound like the retro-ness of Wolfmother (minus the metal) meets the garage-ness of The Ponys. They've also been compared a lot to The Kinks, T. Rex and, of course, The Rolling Stones. Whatever this is, it's decidedly rock 'n' roll (which makes it even stranger that they're on Polyvinyl, a label not necessarily known for the dirty rock... unless you count Mates of State).

The M's should be played at every bar that has strip poker video games, Budweiser bottles for $2.50 or under, and toilets that either refuse, or are unable, to be flushed on a consistent basis. If you like boot rock, check out The M's. If you go to shows just to be seen, don't check out The M's. None of their fans would probably care that you're there.
