Here comes Kate, Dorian, Emma, Reenie and Screech... a.k.a The Long Blondes. It's almost impossible for this buzzing U.K. band NOT to be huge. They have the right sound (post-punk meets New Wave), they're from the right country, and they started on the right label (the ever-solid What's Your Rupture?, also home to Love is All and Cause Co-Motion!).
Vocalist Kate Jackson has Karen O's swagger, Carrie Brownstein's snarl, and Blondie's pipes. They recently opened for Franz Ferdinand, Maximo Park, Death From Above 1979, and they even played England's massive Reading Festival. Their fame will not be denied.
