BAND WE LIKE: SLUICE ((cozy smog-y indie))
((Medications)) Band Profile and Upcoming Chicago Concerts - Oh My Rockness
Medications
Medications are three D.C. dudes on Dischord. Featuring former members of Faraquet and Smart Went Crazy, Medications play (surprise!) angular, punk rock with a math-rock bent. The best thing these guys have going for them is their guitars (they're simultaneously complex, harsh AND poppy) and ferocious drums.
Even though I'm normally not into bands with two lead singers, the dual vocal interplay surprisingly works, mainly because both Devin Ocampo and Chad Molter can actually sing. If you like Dischord and/or the D.C. scene, you'll totally like Medications. They don't offer up anything really new, but I guess they think that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
