((Love of Everything)) Band Profile and Upcoming Chicago Concerts - Oh My Rockness

The one constant for Chicago indie mainstays Love of Everything has been vocalist Bobby Burg (Make Believe, Joan of Arc). The rotating cast of other collaborators including members of Rainer Maria, Rilo Kiley, Owen, Storm and Stress and Aloha to name but a very few. The band's latest full-length, Superior Mold and Die, was put out by Burg's own label, named appropriately enough, Record Label.

Love of Everything play laid-back quirk-pop with layered samples and loops. The melody is carried by Burg's reformed emo vocals, which sound like a cross between Pinback's Rob Crow and Superchunk's Mac McCaughan. Love of Everything's music is set up in such a way that it could easily cross from quirky to annoying. But thankfully, though Burg treads the line, these songs never quite cross over to the dark side.
