These sexy, gritty guys play David Bowie but with more bass. With airy vocals, skittishly dark keyboards and junky punk rhythms, The Bloodthirsty Lovers (featuring David Shouse of The Grifters) create a sound that thrashes and flails towards the future at 88mph while keeping one eye over their shoulder at the past.
In addition to sounding like Bowie, think Pink Floyd and Brian Eno meets The Flaming Lips and Les Savy Fav (who are also on Frenchkiss Records). Bloodthirsty Lovers describe their music as "fun to dream to." That sounds about right.
