((Tall Ships)) Band Profile and Upcoming Chicago Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Brighton's Tall Ships are an up-and-coming band that are melodic and loud and have potential to pretty much rule. But man, they sure go all over the place. One song ("Gallop") they sound like a rollicking (did I just type rollicking?) jingle jangle guitar band whose poppy melodies and vocals bring to mind The Vaccines.

Another song ("T=0"), Tall Ships decide to go all loopy like Battles and on even another ("Plate Tectonics") they get guitar noodle-y like, oh, you know all those old Chicago bands from the mid '90s. And I'm not going to even get into the multi-part harmonies that appear every now and then in Tall Ships' songs.

I tell ya, I just can't keep up. Yet I guess the pattern is that these guys like making music using guitars. I know, I know. Super rare. But I just want to make sure the people know that this isn't a synth situation. I've made that clear though, right?

Should I say it again? Ok. TALL SHIPS ISN'T A SYNTH SITUATION......... YET. And all of this "all over the place" is fine, of course. You know; it's almost like each one of Tall Ships' songs is like a box of chocolates..... and I forget how the rest of that saying goes from that one movie whose name I forgot.
