((Rainer Maria)) Band Profile and Upcoming Chicago Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Guitarist Kyle Fischer and Vocalist Caithlin De Marrais met at a poetry workshop at the University of Wisconsin. Their yearning minds were like sponges so they decided to schedule extra-curricular evening poetry sessions for all those in the workshop interested in a more thorough study. Needless to say, Kyle and Caithlin were the only ones that showed up. Uh, duh. As if any sane person would do more work at night, for no credit, studying poetry of all things. The only poet I studied in college was e.e beer. Shortly thereafter, they, with William Kuehn on drums, started writing their musical "poetry" and Rainer Maria was born. Oh yeah, Rainer Maria is named after a poet. Boy, they sure do know how to rage up there in Madison.
