The New Pornographers are an insanely catchy band. They are Canada's feel-good group that rocks power POP complete with four, yes four-part harmonies. An indie rock supergroup of sorts that features a revolving cast of characters (in the band at one time or another are Zumpano's Carl Newman, Thee Evaporators' John Collins, Destroyer's Dan Bejar, cartoonist/filmmaker Blaine Thurier, drummer Fisher Rose, guitarist Tom Fancey, drummer Kurt Dahle, and guest vocalist Neko Case), The New Pornographers create a sound that's a little Beach Boys, a little Cheap Trick, and whole load of f-u-n to create perfect shower songs. And if you don't sing in the shower, you should start. Allowing my vocal chords to shine as I soap gives me the "What, me worry?" mindset I need when my boss makes me lick the copy machine for screwing up the Danbury Account.
