William Elliot Whitmore

William Elliot Whitmore is a blues singer from Iowa that lives next to the mighty Mississippi. This fine troubadour sings out world-weary tunes, often using his banjo as his accompaniment of choice.

Creating equal parts spiritual revival music, boozy bar rock, and good old fashioned punk (if only in ideology alone), Whitmore has often been compared to his similarly badass brethren, Tom Waits and Johnny Cash.

You can find Whitmore's records on Southern Records. He's recently toured with such diverse bands as Lucero, Red Sparowes and Dianogah. Lift a glass or raise a Bible to this man's music.
